Classrooms for the Future is changing the way high school teachers teach and students learn. This $200 million initiative is transforming high school by creating "smart" classrooms and equipping every English, math, science and social studies class with laptop computers and other state-of-the art technology resources.
Most importantly,
Classrooms for the Future
is about modernizing teaching and learning across Pennsylvania by giving teachers and students access to the latest technology and providing teachers with intensive professional development to embrace new teaching tools.
Classrooms for the Future is leading the reform movement in our high schools. For teachers, it is about moving from lecturer to facilitator of student driven work. And for students, it is about moving from passive learner to active learner.
