The extra effort of our staff and community has resulted in much recognition for Greensburg Salem School District. Several recent accomplishments are:
•For the 3rd year in a row, GSSD was ranked 1st among 105 Western PA schools for overachievement by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
•The District was ranked 2nd in the same category among 498 PA schools.
•When comparing PSSA scores, GSSD was ranked 13th overall in western PA and in the top 10% of all schools in the state over the past five years.
•For the 6th year in a row, Nicely School achieved Adequate Yearly Progress in PSSA scores.
•Greensburg Salem High School scored a bronze rating in the U.S. News and World Report high school rankings.
•GSSD was identified as 1 of 67 PA school districts to meet the "Absolute Standard" identifying districts that currently achieve far above state performance standards.
